Please know that you are loved. It’s just a bad day, not a bad life.
Feelings of depression are real, and can be overwhelming and debilitating. Sharing your thoughts with someone may relieve a lot of pressure. Talk to someone you trust, such as a family member, friend, religious leader, or health care professional. Do not let feelings of embarrassment, fear, or shame stop you. It is important to recognize that depression is not a sign or result of sin or weakness.
Hold on in His love. Know that one day the dawn will break brightly, and all shadows of mortality will flee. Remember the Savior’s promise that “in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Use the #BeThe1To 5 action steps to help someone in your life that might be in crisis. These steps have been proven to help others find hope and support.
