1. Abide by our Terms of Use

• By accessing and using Christianity Discord, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to our terms. They can be viewed here.

2. Be respectful

•  Treat all members with kindness, inclusion, and respect, recognizing their worth as children of God. Discrimination, harassment, or ridicule toward any individual, denomination, or group is unacceptable.

• Discussions should be held civilly and in good faith. Do not misrepresent or distort the views of others.

3. Keep content appropriate for a family-friendly and religious setting

• This applies to your name, avatar, banner, status, and all content you post or share in text and voice channels. 

• Prohibited content includes but is not limited to: 

  • (a) Abusive language, such as swears, slurs, insults, or threats.

  • (b) Attempts to bypass chat filters.

  • (c) Sexual, violent, or disturbing material.

  • (d) References to illicit drug or alcohol use.

  • (e) Content involving race or racism.

  • (f) Any other topics that may detract from the Spirit.

• Moderators have final discretion regarding content violations.

4. Honor the shared focus on Christianity

• This is an interdenominational space centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Differences in belief are welcome when discussed respectfully.

  • Questions should come from a genuine desire to learn, not to challenge or undermine Christian beliefs.

  • Discussions or comparisons involving other religions are permitted only when they are relevant to the topic.

  • Avoid political or activist topics, and keep philosophy relevant to Christian discussion.

  • Casual conversation is allowed in moderation, but excessive off-topic chat detracts from the community’s purpose.

5. Refrain from spam and advertising

• Avoid excessive messages, pings, emojis, gifs, or images.

• Use the correct channels to keep discussions organized.

• Do not promote or solicit for any kind of personal gain, monetary or otherwise (e.g., donations, sales, server invites, petitions, surveys, and other external interests).

• Only send links via DM if the recipient has agreed.

6. Don't sow division

• Help maintain an inviting atmosphere by avoiding disruptive behaviors like raiding, trolling, or spreading rumors, drama, or negativity about other members or servers.

7. Use English only

Member expectations

We ask members to help us maintain a constructive and respectful space by:

• Adhering to the server rules and being mindful of how your words and actions impact others (Ephesians 4:29).

• Avoiding blocking moderation staff or bots, as it interferes with their responsibilities.

• Choosing clear and appropriate usernames. Those with disruptive formatting (including non Latin-based alphabets, Zalgo text, or excessive symbols) may be modified by staff.

Staff expectations

Our moderator team works diligently to make Christianity Discord a welcoming place for everyone. They follow and enforce the server rules with care and impartiality. When necessary, moderator actions may include:

• Removing content that violates server rules.

• Issuing warnings to address concerns.

• Temporarily restricting access or placing users in a containment channel for discussion.

• Applying mutes, kicks, or bans to maintain a safe and respectful experience.

We do not disclose details of moderator actions or decisions to those not directly involved. This ensures privacy for all members and allows moderators to handle situations without unnecessary conflict or speculation.

Why we use chat filters

Chat filters help us enforce our standards by automatically catching inappropriate content like swearing, slurs, or spam. If you think something was flagged by mistake, please open a ticket for clarification or assistance.

Why we restrict links and images for new users

To protect our community, new users cannot share links or images for their first 7 days. This precaution helps minimize the risk of scams, explicit material, and other harmful content from being sent.
